Welcome !!!🔬🧬🦠

History

The research group was registered for the first time in 1992 Under Professor Luis Eugenio Andrade Pérez’ guidance and it has been recently reactivated by Professor Maryam Chaib as Leader and teacher Clara Isabel Bermúdez as co-leader in march 2023. The proposed investigations proposed are as it follows:

  1. Conceptualization of epistemic and semantic aspects of molecular biology in the philosophy of science
  2. Evolution of non-coding genomic regions
  3. Identification of molecular mechanisms underlying symbiotic interactions
  4. Computational design of genetic circuits in microorganisms to modulate host physiology

Specialty

The associate leading professors are specialists in different disciplines, such as:

  • Celullar Biology
  • Biotechnology
  • Physiology
  • Engineering
  • Bioinformatics
  • Mathematical modelling

Vision

Our vision is to be a regional leading group in reasearch and education on the mechanisms, dynamics, and evolution of heterospecific associations, generating relevant results to society.

Research

Our research is in redefining process, and henceforth it proposes the following research topics:

  1. Conceptualization of epistemic and semantic aspects of molecular biology in the philosophy of science
  2. Evolution of non-coding genomic regions
  3. Identification of molecular mechanisms underlying symbiotic interaction
  4. Computational design of genetic circuits in microorganisms to modulate host physiology. Research page.
